Occupational Therapist Damla Avcı

Occupational therapist Damla Avcı graduated from Istanbul Atlas University, Department of Occupational Therapy in 2024. During my undergraduate education, I gained long-term internship experiences in both adult and pediatric fields. After his graduation, he worked in the field of special education and rehabilitation and carried out studies on supporting the sensory, motor and daily life skills of children with different developmental needs. He placed emphasis on my professional development, focusing specifically on specializing in pediatric feeding disorders and play-based approaches. In this direction; The Holistic Approach to Pediatric Eating Disorders with DIR Perspective training given by Physiotherapist, Audiology and Speech Disorders Specialist Çiğdem Ergül, Dr. Fzt. He attended the trainings on Evaluating Sensory Integration in Babies and Evaluating Motor Skills from Infancy to Childhood, given by Aymen Balıkçı. Dr. By completing the DIR Floortime 201 training given by Language and Speech Specialist Mehbube Tuncer, she received the title of DIR Floortime Therapist, Specialist. By completing the Pediatric Feeding Disorder training given by Language and Speech Therapist Esra Özer Şahin, I received the title of Pediatric Nutrition Therapist and also received the SOS Approach to Feeding training, strengthening my competence in the field of pediatric nutrition. Damla Avcı continues her master's degree at Istanbul Atlas University.
